Travel Physical Therapist - Outpatient - $2,404 per week

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with a Doctorate and 2+ years of current experience for an outpatient position in Springfield, VT, with flexibility to cover inpatient PT as needed.

- Outpatient physical therapy clinic setting with occasional inpatient PT coverage as needed
- Patient population includes orthopedic and sports injuries, gait and balance training, fractures, sprains, dislocations, musculoskeletal dysfunction, neck and back pain, neurological disorders (e.g., stroke, Parkinson's), bone and joint diseases, hand injuries, workplace injuries, pelvic floor dysfunction, incontinence, and pulmonary rehabilitation
- Typical patient load is 8 patients per day Monday–Thursday and 6 patients on Fridays
- Treatments include evaluations, manual techniques, and therapeutic exercises across a wide variety of diagnoses including post-operative care, joint replacement, back pain, tendonitis, general deconditioning, and balance/vertigo issues
- Monday–Friday day shifts, 40 hours per week; no weekend requirements
- Holiday coverage may be required; outpatient PT clinics are closed for major holidays
- No on-call requirements
- CPSI EMR experience is highly preferred
Requirements
Doctorate in Physical Therapy required; must be a graduate of an accredited PT program
Minimum 2 years of current PT experience required; new graduates will not be considered
Previous rehabilitation experience required
Current VT Physical Therapy license required; facility will pend licensure upon offer and candidate must apply within 24 hours of offer acceptance — license required if applicable
Active AHA BLS certification required
Must be able to treat all standard diagnoses seen in outpatient settings
Must be flexible and willing to work inpatient PT as needed
Previous travel experience strongly preferred
Experience working with PTAs preferred
Must have personal transportation, as the facility is located in a small community without public transit
Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
One supervisory-signed reference from within the past 2 years of employment required for consideration
Current skills checklist (pertinent to physical therapy, within the past year) required for consideration
About the Role
This position combines advanced hands-on techniques with patient education and individualized rehabilitative programs
Previous travel experience is strongly preferred; this role may not be ideal for first-time travelers
All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed upfront; RTO requests will not be approved after the time of submission, and no more than 5 days of RTO will be accepted
