Travel Physical Therapist, Outpatient - $1,908 per week

American Traveler is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapist with 2+ years of orthopathic outpatient experience for a 13-week travel assignment in Johns Island, South Carolina.

Assignment Overview

• Start Date: September 14, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Days, 4x10-hour shifts, Monday through Thursday, 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Setting: Outpatient orthopedic clinic
• Daily caseload: Approximately 12 patients
• No weekend or on-call requirements
• No floating required
• Charting system: Epic
• Openings: 1

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of outpatient physical therapy experience required
• Current SC or Multi-State Compact Physical Therapist license required at start of contract
• BLS certification required (AHA certifications only)
• Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy program required
• Experience with assessment, AROM/AAROM/PROM, and strength testing required
• Orthopedic specialty experience preferred
• Valid driver's license required for consideration
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
• Candidates must live outside a 60-mile radius of the facility for priority consideration; local candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis at a reduced rate
• Previous perm or PRN staff must be separated from the health system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application for consideration

• Business casual attire required; no scrub color specified
• Employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response duties during hurricane season (June through November, with peak activity in August and September)
