Travel Physical Therapist Inpatient - $1,845 per week

Job Summary

Physical Therapist Inpatient (PT IP) position located in a healthcare facility. This role involves performing initial examinations and providing comprehensive physical therapy interventions to a diverse patient population. The position offers an entry‑level opportunity to work within a multi‑disciplinary team, with rotating responsibilities across inpatient, outpatient, and acute services, under the supervision of the Therapy Manager or Professional Practice Manager.

Schedule

7:30 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends if available (which would then provide a day off during the week). 37.5 hours per week, 8‑hour shifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial examinations, establish goals, plan and implement treatment interventions, and adjust care based on re‑examinations.
• Coordinate with other disciplines, manage documentation, and provide patient and caregiver training.
• Participate in discharge planning, attend conferences and meetings, and may be assigned additional patients as needed.
• Maintain therapy attendance records, patient charges, and statistics.
• Supervise Rehab Patient Care Associates, volunteers, and students.
• Maintain membership in the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and follow all organizational policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Current New York State Physical Therapy license.
• 0 to 1 year of experience.
• Excellent oral, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated analytical problem‑solving skills.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite skills.
• Current membership in the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).

Pay

Pay package is based on 8‑hour shifts and 37.5 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
