About the role
Travel Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) position in Humansville, Missouri.
Responsibilities
- Provide rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatments to patients with physical disorders under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
- Assess patient progress, document clinical information electronically, and communicate effectively with the healthcare team.
- Support patient, family, and caregiver counseling regarding physical conditions.
- Participate in meetings such as patient care conferences, utilization review, and rehabilitation reviews.
- Assist with obtaining supplies and supervise students as directed.
- Ensure compliance with clinical, ethical, and regulatory standards.
- Participate in ongoing training and meetings.
Qualifications & Skills
- Active Missouri licensure.
- Minimum one year of PTA experience, with LTC or SNF experience preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively with supervising therapists, adhere to APTA and state regulations, and support clinical and documentation standards.
- New graduates with Level II experience are welcome.
