Key Responsibilities
- Implementing Treatment Plans
- Administer therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities
- Use physical therapy equipment to aid in patient recovery
- Guide patients through prescribed exercises
- Monitor patient responses to physical therapy treatments
- Track and document changes in patient condition
- Provide feedback on patient performance
- Educate patients on proper body mechanics and techniques
- Document patient interactions and report significant findings
- Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure coordinated care
- Communicate effectively with other team members
- Maintain and clean physical therapy equipment
- Ensure therapy areas are tidy and organized
- Assist in evaluations and initial assessments
- Monitor patients for signs of fatigue, discomfort, or injury
Requirements
- Current certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
- Experience in physical therapy
- Knowledge of physical therapy techniques and equipment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current PTA license
- Passing scores on relevant exams
