About the role
The Physical Therapist Assistant will utilize evidence-based practices to support clinical interventions and provide rehabilitative treatment interventions to patients with physical functioning disorders under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
Schedule
This position requires an 8-hour day shift from Monday to Friday. Times are flexible as long as they are consistent and communicated with the Director of Rehabilitation.
Responsibilities
- Administer various procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan, including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, and modalities.
- Assess patient progress and communicate with the supervising Physical Therapist to adjust treatments accordingly.
- Document all regulatory and clinically required information in the electronic documentation system.
- Effectively communicate patient progress, barriers, and treatment plans with the healthcare team.
- Provide consultation and counseling to patients and their families regarding physical disorders.
- Participate in required meetings, trainings, and conferences.
- Supervise and support students under the guidance of the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Adhere to APTA and State Required practice acts and code of conduct.
Requirements
- 1+ years of Physical Therapist Assistant experience is required.
- Experience in Long-Term Care or Rehabilitation settings is required.
- Active Physical Therapist Assistant license is required.
- New graduates considered if they have Level II experience.

Pay
Pay package is based on 8-hour shifts and 40.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined. Contract and local rates may vary based on location and applicant residency.
