The position requires embracing safety and patient-centered care, assisting the Physical Therapist with implementing therapeutic interventions, and supporting patient mobility and recovery. Job Details Certifications, Education, and Experience Requirements: Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school; CPR Certification; 6 months of outpatient clinical experience; 0 years of experience minimum; Location in Oak Park; Shift time: 8 hours; Schedule: Days, 40 hours per week. Implement and assist in carrying out treatment plans focused on improving patient outcomes such as posture training, strength building, balance exercises, functional skills, and community re-entry. Train patients in locomotion with orthotics, prosthetics, or assistive devices, demonstrating proper guarding and safety techniques. Demonstrate and utilize modalities including whirlpools, ultrasound, therapeutic pools, and other therapeutic equipment, monitoring patient responses and adjusting treatments accordingly. Document patient progress, responses to treatments, and educate patients and families on proper body mechanics. Maintain professional and ethical standards, adhere to safety and infection control guidelines, and participate in team conferences and quality improvement projects. Ensure a clean and safe treatment environment and utilize appropriate safety precautions, including hand-washing and the use of personal protective equipment. Other duties as assigned.
