Travel Physical Therapist Assistant - Outpatient - $1,542 per week

Centra Healthcare Allied is seeking a travel Physical Therapy Assistant for a contract assignment at an outpatient facility in District Heights, Maryland.

Responsibilities

• Work under the supervision of Registered or Licensed Physical Therapists
• Use physical treatment procedures to help improve mobility and relieve pain and disability caused by disease or injury
• Apply techniques including massages, electrical stimulation, paraffin baths, hot and cold packs, traction, ultrasound, and other assigned exercises
• Provide skilled physical therapy services/interventions in accordance with physician orders and under the supervision of a Registered or Licensed Physical Therapist
• Implement and modify the patient's physical therapy plan of treatment under the supervision of a Registered or Licensed Physical Therapist
• Effectively collaborate within an interdisciplinary team to meet patient goals

Requirements

• Associate's degree from an accredited school
• Current state license as a Physical Therapist Assistant / PTA or proactively in the process of the application process for current state licensure
• Current CPR certification

Schedule

Monday–Friday, noon–8 PM (evening shift). 40 hours per week.
