About the role
This is a 13-week travel contract position in a hospital-based outpatient setting in Lawton, Oklahoma. The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) will support physical therapy interventions under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, assisting in the evaluation and treatment of patients to improve mobility and overall physical function.
Schedule
- 40 hours per week
- 8-hour day shifts (8 AM to 5 PM)
- Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends
Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing treatment plans designed by the Physical Therapist
- Ensure proper execution of therapeutic exercise routines
- Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising Physical Therapist
- Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities
Requirements
- Valid PTA license
- Relevant experience in an outpatient setting
