Travel Physical Therapist Assistant - $1,850 per week

ARMStaffing is seeking a travel Physical Therapy Assistant for a travel job in Alexandria, Virginia. Specialty: Physical Therapy Assistant; Discipline: Therapy; Start Date: ASAP; Duration: 13 weeks; 40 hours per week; Shift: 8 hours, days; Employment Type: Travel. The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) assists directly and indirectly with the delivery of Physical Therapy (PT) services, including transportation, therapeutic exercises, and functional activities as outlined by the treatment plan and in accordance with state practice guidelines. Responsibilities

• Implement treatment goals and plans as established by the Physical Therapist.
• Assist in various therapeutic interventions, including posture training, strengthening exercises, endurance training, balance exercises, and functional skills training.
• Train patients in locomotion using orthotics, prosthetics, and assistive devices.
• Demonstrate the use of therapeutic modalities such as whirlpools, hot/cold packs, therapeutic ultrasound, and more.
• Monitor patient responses to treatment and adjust interventions as necessary.
• Document patient progress and education on a weekly basis.
• Engage in continuous education and provide in-service education to peers.
• Maintain compliance with safety, infection control, and departmental policies.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients, visitors, and staff.

Requirements

• Valid state PTA license is required.
• BLS certification is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of bedside experience preferred.

Schedule

This position offers a day shift with a 5x8 hour work schedule.
