About the role
Pioneer Healthcare Services is seeking a travel Physical Therapy Assistant for a 13-week assignment in Lynchburg, Virginia. This position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact in a hospital setting, assisting in patient care and rehabilitation.
Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing personalized treatment plans developed by physical therapists
- Provide therapeutic exercises and modalities to improve patient function and mobility
- Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising physical therapist
- Educate patients and families on exercise techniques and safety measures
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient sessions and progress
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure coordinated care
- Support discharge planning and facilitate continuity of care as needed
Requirements
- Completion of accredited PTA program
- Completion of National Physical Therapy Exam (NPTE)
- VA PTA licensure/certification
- First Aid Certifications (BLS) strongly recommended
Pay
$1,526.89 - $1,574.11 per week
Schedule
- 13-week assignment
- Day shift, 5x8 hours (up to 40 hours per week)
