Travel Physical Therapist Assistant - $1,393 per week

About the Role

ARMStaffing is seeking a travel Physical Therapy Assistant for a 13-week contract position in McDonough, Georgia, with the option to extend. This outpatient role focuses on delivering superior quality in patient care while ensuring safety for patients and employees. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with 36 hours per week and flexible 12-hour shifts.

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment goals and plans established by the Physical Therapist.
• Assist in therapeutic interventions including posture training, strengthening exercises, endurance training, and community re-entry training.
• Train patients in the use of orthotics, prosthetics, and assistive devices.
• Train patients in locomotion with assistive devices.
• Monitor patient responses to treatment.
• Demonstrate proper safety protocols and use of modalities such as whirlpools and ultrasound.
• Document patient progress and educate patients and families on good body mechanics.
• Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to safety and infection control guidelines.
• Participate in team conferences and collaborate with other healthcare disciplines regarding treatment goals.

Requirements

• Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant from an accredited school.
• Current CAPTE certification.
• New graduates are welcome to apply; prior outpatient clinical experience is highly desired.
