Travel Physical Therapist Assistant - $1,292 per week
About the Role
ARMStaffing is seeking a travel Physical Therapy Assistant for an outpatient assignment in Spring Hill, Florida. This is a short-term contract position from August 31 to October 16, 2023, operating on a 5x8.0 schedule (36 hours per week, 12-hour flexible shifts). The duration is subject to change based on the full-time PTA's return.

Responsibilities
- Implement treatment goals, plans, and modalities established by the Physical Therapist.
- Assist in therapeutic interventions including posture training, strengthening exercises, balance training, joint mobility, and functional skills training.
- Train patients in locomotion using orthotics, prosthetics, and assistive devices.
- Demonstrate proper techniques and safety awareness when using therapy equipment.
- Monitor patient progress and respond to treatment needs.
- Document patient outcomes and educate families on care and body mechanics.
- Maintain a safe and clean treatment environment while adhering to all safety protocols.
- Collaborate as a team player in interdisciplinary conferences to optimize patient care.
Requirements
- Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current CAPTE certification and valid state licensure.
- 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience (new graduates are encouraged to apply).
- CPR certification.

Pay
Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined. Contract and local rates may vary based on location and applicant residency.
