About the Role
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a 13-week travel assignment in Portland, Oregon, within an Acute Care Hospital setting. The position requires at least 1 year of acute care experience and Epic charting experience.
Schedule
- Day shift, 5x8 hours (8:00 AM - 4:00 PM)
- 40 hours per week
- Start Date: September 8, 2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Fluctuating weekend requirements, anticipating 2-4 per month
- Block scheduling required
- Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- No on-call requirements
Responsibilities
- Provide physical therapy evaluation and treatment within an acute care hospital environment
- Float between units and sister facilities near the contracted location
- Adhere to block scheduling and weekend requirements
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of acute care experience required
- BLS certification required
- Professional PT license required (if applicable)
- OR License required
- Epic charting experience preferred
- Trauma Level I and II experience preferred
- Compact state license must be in hand at time of consideration
- Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years are required
- First-time travelers are eligible for consideration
- Local candidates accepted at lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must be outside a 50-mile radius of the facility

- Acute Care Hospital setting within a short-term acute care, teaching hospital with 536 staff beds
- Uses Epic for charting
- Scrub attire is any color, with OR/Cath Lab scrubs provided by facility
- No parking fees at this facility
- All RTO and scheduling requests should be submitted upfront during the consideration process
