Travel Physical Therapist - $3,746 per week

Travel Physical Therapist position in Haines, Alaska, starting 11/02/2026 for a 13‑week assignment (40 hours/week, 8‑hour day shifts). The role is in an acute care setting, involving evaluation, development, and execution of plans of care for diverse patient populations, oversight of PTAs and support staff, billing, interfacing with physicians, and ensuring compliant care.

Responsibilities

• Oversee supervising PTAs, support staff (therapy technicians)
• Bill within the respective setting, following facility guidelines
• Understand and comply with the state PT board’s rules and regulations
• Interface with Medical Center personnel and physicians to ensure a team‑focused plan of care
• Understand adaptive equipment
• Evaluate and create a plan of care
• Modify plan of care as indicated based on patient’s condition
• Use Medical Center computer systems for daily tasks
• Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines

Requirements

• Minimum 6 months of experience (1 year preferred; new graduates encouraged to apply)
• Current BLS certification
• Valid state‑specific Physical Therapist license
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, and to bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning the assignment
