Travel Physical Therapist - $3,046 per week

American Traveler is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for a 24-week assignment in Espanola, New Mexico.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients with a wide variety of therapeutic interventions for rehabilitation of physical function and developmental disorders
• Pediatric PT responsibilities include assessing motor development, strength, range of motion, endurance, balance, coordination, and gait in infants, children, and adolescents
• Floating between departments and/or local locations within 20 miles is required
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams and communicate across various services involved in patient care

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of current experience in physical therapy required
• Inpatient and outpatient experience required
• At least one prior 13-week travel assignment required
• At least 1 year of pediatric PT experience required if working in the pediatrics setting
• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy required; Doctorate (DPT) preferred
• Current New Mexico PT license required (license required if applicable)
• Current BLS certification through AHA, AHAS, or ARC required
• Must be a team player, flexible, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

• Former permanent staff of this facility must wait one year before being considered as a traveler
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Pay

Pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
