Travel Physical Therapist - $2,866 per week

About the role

Position: Travel Physical Therapist (PT) – Inpatient in Marshall, MI. Start date: October 5, 2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Guaranteed hours: 40 hours/week on standard schedule (Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:30 PM). An alternative 36‑hour week may be considered, with Fridays ending at 1:30 PM. No weekend or on‑call requirements. The facility provides orthopedic services including general orthopedic treatment, nerve entrapment disorders, arthroscopy, total knee/hip, orthopedic trauma, tendinopathy, and sports medicine, serving Calhoun County.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive physical therapy evaluation and treatment for patients.
• Plan and administer medically prescribed physical therapy treatment programs.
• Develop treatment approaches focused on restoring function, relieving pain, and preventing disability.
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as clinically appropriate.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to support safe and effective patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
• Follow facility policies, clinical standards, and infection‑control practices.
• Ability to stand and sit continuously for approximately 90% of the workday.
• Ability to reach with hands and arms and lift/move at least 50 pounds.
• Must follow appropriate safety precautions for exposure to infectious diseases.
• Complete a full fit‑for‑duty physical if an offer is extended.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of Physical Therapy experience (required).
• Current, active Michigan PT License (required).
• American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification (required).
• Previous travel experience (preferred).
• Current Physical Therapy Skills Checklist (within the past 1 year) (required).
• At least one supervisory‑signed professional reference from the past 2 years of employment (required).
