Opportunity

Provide physical therapy services to a predominantly Native American population for the treatment or prevention of physical disability or disease.
Manage and implement the Physical Therapy program.
Provide physical therapy evaluation and treatment for both inpatients and outpatients, covering ages from birth through geriatric.
Participate in weekend rotation in addition to regular work week schedule.
Provide specialty services including wound care, prosthetic and orthotic clinic, geriatric clinic, high school clinic, functional clinic, spinal cord clinic, and assistive technology/adaptive equipment evaluation and treatment.
Manage Durable Medical Equipment Prosthetic Orthotic Supply Program.
Avoid assuming direction and development of the physical therapy section including continuing quality improvement, risk management, and safety.
Develop and maintain physical therapy policies and procedures.
Assist with Joint Commission preparation, staff education, reporting, staff meetings, and in-services.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from a CAPTE accredited school of Physical Therapy required
    Must possess a valid, current, full, and unrestricted physical therapy license in any U.S. state, District of Columbia, or Commonwealth of Puerto Rico
    Must maintain a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association
    Must meet requirements to be credentialed to serve on the Medical Staff
    Fingerprinting must be submitted and cleared prior to start

Facility

This JCAHO accredited health center provides services to a 4,400 square mile area and serves as a referral center for the western part of the Navajo and Hopi Reservations. The facility offers comprehensive inpatient and outpatient emergency services, dental and ophthalmology services, orthopedics, OB/GYN, oral surgery, eye surgery, and urological procedures. With a bed capacity of 73, the facility supports a diverse medical staff including surgeons, internal medicine specialists, psychiatrists, pediatricians, family practice physicians, obstetricians, ENT specialists, orthopedic surgeons, and urologists.
