About the role

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an inpatient and acute inpatient rehabilitation unit. This role requires EPIC experience and weekend availability. The assignment is in Lodi, California, with a start date of August 31, 2026, lasting 13 weeks. The position is full-time (40 hours per week) on a day shift with 8-hour shifts.

  • Rehabilitation setting only, no outpatient
  • Patient population includes ortho, neuro, ICU, and acute rehab cases
  • Day shift, 8-hour shifts with approximate start times between 08:00–08:30 and end around 16:30
  • Weekend coverage required, potentially all weekends with a comp day during the week, or an alternating/agreed-upon rotation
  • EPIC experience required
  • Accepts local candidates at the same rate as travel candidates with no radius rule
  • Candidates with more than 5 days of requested time off will not be considered

Responsibilities

  • Conduct evaluations, establish individualized treatment plans, and provide therapy interventions using appropriate protocols and techniques
  • Coordinate individualized care and discharge plans and communicate them to appropriate parties
  • Complete comprehensive and accurate clinical documentation within established deadlines
  • Supervise assigned physical therapy assistants
  • Serve as co-leader in an interdisciplinary approach to patient groups

Requirements

  • DPT degree required for those licensed on or after January 2016, or foreign equivalent
  • 2 years of Physical Therapy experience preferred
  • Active PT license in state of practice required
  • BLS certification from an approved vendor required
  • Required vaccinations are a condition of employment (medical and religious exemptions available)
