Opportunity

• Level 1 trauma acute care experience required (minimum 1 year)
• Monday through Friday schedule, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM (start time flexible up to 8:00 AM)
• One weekend (Saturday and Sunday) required per 4-week period, resulting in a day off during that applicable week
• Provide therapy services across a wide range of patient care areas including medicine, surgery, orthopedics, neurology, cardiopulmonary, and oncology
• Primary inpatient acute care role with potential to float within any therapy service line to meet facility needs
• Establish treatment plans and provide treatment considering discharge needs, expected discharge functional status, and appropriate equipment and supplies
• Educate, collaborate, and conference with patients, families, and other healthcare providers, making referral recommendations as needed
• Delegate to assistants and techs through written and verbal communication
• Complete documentation in accordance with departmental policies
• Assessments, documentation, patient/family education, and safety and injury prevention required
• Patients served include adults and geriatric populations
• Charting system: Epic (preferred experience)
• Scrub color: Black or Grey
• Guaranteed hours: 3 shifts per 13-week contract
• No on-call required
• No floating to sister facilities
• Required certifications: BLS, State License
• Strong communication skills and desire to work with a variety of patient populations required
• Safe patient handling equipment, vitals carts, and iPad interpretation devices used on the unit

Facility

This facility is a short-term acute care teaching hospital with Level 1 trauma designation and 1,259 total staffed beds. The facility supports a broad range of therapy service lines and utilizes Epic for electronic charting. Monthly parking passes are available for staff, with multiple parking options on and near the campus.

Pay package

The pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
