About the Role
MedPro Healthcare Staffing, a Joint Commission-certified staffing agency, is seeking a quality Physical Therapist for an assignment with one of our top healthcare clients. The Physical Therapist is responsible for the assessment of referred patients that require rehabilitation services, providing direct patient care to assess medical condition, functional capabilities, limitations, restrictions, and potential for rehabilitation. The PT will establish and administer a treatment program with specific goals determined according to the patient's capacity and tolerance under the direction of the Physician, set realistic and achievable goals, document and record the patient's condition, and educate patients and families in appropriate physical therapy methods.
Requirements
- Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy OR Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy with passed NPTE
- Graduated from an accredited school
- Minimum one year of experience
- Current state license as a Registered Physical Therapist / PT, or proactively in the application process for current state licensure
- Current CPR certification
- Other requirements as determined by the client facility
Responsibilities
- Assess referred patients requiring rehabilitation services, including direct patient care to evaluate medical condition, functional capabilities, limitations, restrictions, and rehabilitation potential
- Establish and administer treatment programs with specific goals based on patient capacity and tolerance under physician direction
- Set realistic and achievable patient goals, document and record patient condition, and educate patients and families in appropriate physical therapy methods
- Develop a plan of care for each physical therapy patient
- Provide skilled physical therapy services and interventions in accordance with physician orders
- Assess patient needs, plan, evaluate, and modify care to meet physical therapy intervention goals
- Collaborate with all disciplines to plan and evaluate team goals for each patient
