Travel Physical Therapist - $2,552 per week

About the role

Opportunity for a Physical Therapist at a healthcare facility in Davenport, Washington. This travel position involves a 90% outpatient and 10% inpatient caseload, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients to learn about their physical condition, symptoms, and review medical history and referrals from providers
• Diagnose movement dysfunction by listening to patients and observing them as they move
• Develop individualized treatment plans for each patient
• Coach patients and teach therapeutic exercises and stretches to improve their condition
• Use hands-on therapy techniques such as massage to ease patients' pain and promote healing
• Keep detailed records relating to patient conditions, care plans, therapies, and progress
• Report patient progress and current status to appropriate parties including family members and providers
• Collaborate with speech therapists and other physical therapists to achieve the best patient outcomes
• Help patients manage or lessen pain associated with degenerative conditions or terminal diseases
• Maintain professional communication with all members of the healthcare team

Requirements

• Master's Degree from an accredited physical therapy program
• Experience working directly with patients in a long-term care or hospital setting
• Current Physical Therapist state license
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
• Strong documentation skills and excellent verbal communication
• Knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of patients served
• Ability to perform essential functions of the role, which may include standing for extended periods, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis, with or without reasonable accommodation
