About the Role
The Physical Therapist evaluates patients, establishes a plan of care, and provides treatment to patients requiring physical therapy services. The therapist delivers patient care within the accepted boundaries of Physical Therapy Practice as defined by the state licensing board and standards set by relevant professional associations.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients' physical condition and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide physical therapy treatments in accordance with established standards and protocols.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Educate patients and their families about treatment processes and expected outcomes.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy required.
- Current New Mexico Physical Therapist license or provisional license with the intention to obtain permanent license within 6 months of hire.
- AHA BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
- Ability to pass the Rehab Department Aquatic Competency test within 90 days if aquatic therapy is part of job responsibilities.
- One (1) year of experience preferred.
Schedule
- 40 hours per week
- 8-hour shifts, days (8 A.M. to 4:30 P.M.)
