About the role
This is a 13-week travel assignment in Apple Valley, California, starting 09/14/2026. The position is full-time, with 40 hours per week on an 8-hour day shift. The estimated gross weekly pay is $2,438.40 for outpatient pediatric physical therapy.
Schedule
- 5x8 shift schedule, Monday through Friday from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM (any 8 hours between 7:30 AM and 6:00 PM)
- No on-call required
- No floating required
- Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
Responsibilities
- Daily patient load of 7 patients with productivity standards of 7-8 patients per hour
- Treat patient age groups including infants, pediatrics, and adolescents
- Manage a pediatric PT caseload including developmental delay, torticollis, cerebral palsy, and orthopedic injuries
- Perform independent assessments using tools such as the PDMS-2
- Provide outpatient services (medical-based PT, not school-based)
- May float into the acute hospital if outpatient census is low
- Utilize Epic for charting
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of pediatric physical therapy experience (hard stop)
- Must be able to work independently
- First-time travelers accepted
- Pediatric home health or outpatient experience accepted
- Acute care experience preferred
- Valid California PT license (must be in hand at time of start)
- BLS certification required
- All requested time off must be included at time of submission; approval based on facility needs

The outpatient clinic provides comprehensive pediatric physical therapy focused on developmental, neurological, and orthopedic conditions. The facility utilizes Epic for charting and offers a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment supporting both outpatient and acute care patient populations. Free parking is available.
