Travel Physical Therapist - $2,426 per week

About the role

TNAA TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for a 13-week position in Elk Grove, California. The role involves overseeing supervising PTAs, billing, evaluating patients, creating and modifying treatment plans, and documenting care.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and develop a plan of care for various patient populations in an acute care setting.
• Oversee supervising PTAs and support staff, ensuring they follow established protocols.
• Bill within the respective setting, adhering to guidelines set by each facility.
• Interface with medical center personnel and physicians to ensure a collaborative approach to patient care.
• Evaluate and modify treatment plans based on patient progress and condition.
• Provide timely and accurate documentation according to state and insurance guidelines.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of experience, or new graduates are encouraged to apply.
• BLS certification and state-specific licensing.
• A strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• Able to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty.
• ABPTS certification.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should have a solid foundation in physical therapy principles and possess excellent communication and teamwork skills. They should also be proficient in using medical center computer systems and understand the relevant PT board's rules and regulations.

Skills

Strong clinical skills, effective communication, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are essential. Proficiency in adaptive equipment and technology is also crucial.

The pay package is based on 8-hour shifts and 40 hours per week, with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
