Job Summary
This Outpatient Physical Therapist position is based in Saco, Maine. The role involves evaluating patients, developing and modifying treatment plans based on clinical reasoning, and documenting patient care in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards.
Job Details
- Evaluates assigned patients comprehensively, utilizing clinical reasoning to develop appropriate treatment goals aimed at progressing patients toward discharge within an established length of stay.
- Completes medical record documentation in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner, including goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry, in compliance with state, federal, and intermediary guidelines.
- Provides care under signed, valid physician orders and insurance approval, as indicated and necessary for the clinical care of the patient.
- Participates in student programs as assigned, creating a positive learning environment with appropriate supervision, development of learning objectives, and student evaluations.
- Develops an individualized professional development plan in collaboration with clinical management and pursues ongoing professional growth through continuing education, self-study, and involvement in professional activities.
- Maintains professional licensure in good standing and completes all required continuing education.
- Adheres to the organizations performance improvement initiatives and provides feedback to support quality improvement efforts.
- Follows all clinic guidelines regarding personal appearance, attendance, and punctuality.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school;
- At least 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience;
- CPR certification;
- Active applicable license in the state of Maine.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior assignment success with the agency or organization is highly desired.
- Float rotation may be required.

Pay & Schedule
The pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined. The schedule is Days, Monday/Wednesday/Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Tuesday/Thursday 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
