Travel Physical Therapist - $2,312 per week

About the role

AHS Staffing is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for a 13-week assignment starting August 1, 2026, in Canaan, Connecticut.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services to patients in a skilled nursing facility setting.
• Develop and implement treatment plans based on patient needs and physician orders.
• Assess patient progress and modify treatment plans accordingly.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
• Document all patient interactions and treatments accurately.

Requirements

• Current license to practice physical therapy in the state of Connecticut.
• Experience in long-term care settings preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Passing scores on the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE).
• ACSM Certified Personal Trainer certification (optional but preferred).

Skills

• Strong clinical skills and knowledge of physical therapy techniques.
• Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Schedule
