American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a Days shift outpatient/rehabilitation opportunity in Atascadero, CA, requiring at least 1 year of experience.

Assignment Details

• Outpatient/rehabilitation clinic setting
• Days shift schedule, preferred as 4x9's & 1x4
• 13-week assignment
• 40 hours per week
• Start Date: September 14, 2026
• Openings: 1

Requirements

• Current, active PT license in the state of practice required if applicable
• Degree in Physical Therapy required
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• EMR proficiency required for completing evaluations, reports, and discharge summaries
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and assist with patient transfers and mobility
• Ability to stand, walk, and sit for prolonged periods during 8-10 hour workdays
• Open to first-time travelers

Responsibilities

• Evaluating and treating patients for physical therapy and rehabilitation programs
• Supervises PT Assistants and Aides in all aspects of patient care
• Coordinates with physicians and office staff to ensure quality patient care and scheduling
• Maintains accurate patient chart documentation, including prescriptions, test results, and authorizations
• Adheres to HIPAA and patient privacy policies

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with PT billing policies including Medicare, work-comp, private, auto, liens, and cash pay preferred
• Proficiency in DX and ICD-10 coding for billing purposes preferred
