Travel Physical Therapist - $2,200 per week

Job Summary

Physical Therapist Inpatient (PT IP) position located in the inpatient setting. This role involves providing comprehensive physical therapy care to geriatric, neurological, stroke, and amputation patients. The position requires collaboration with the healthcare team to develop and implement care plans, perform therapeutic interventions, and ensure all documentation meets department standards.

Job Details

• Schedule: Dayshift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 36 hours per week, with one weekend per month and holidays as required.

Required Qualifications

• Doctorate of Physical Therapy (PT) certification
• Current Alabama Physical Therapist License maintained in good standing
• At least 1 year of experience in the field of specialty, or 18 months if working under the highest level of professional license

Preferred Qualifications

• Licenses in Occupational Therapy (OT) and Speech Language Pathology (SLP)

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient needs
• Formulate treatment plans
• Document patient progress
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals
• Analyze patient data
• Operate EMR systems
• Perform therapeutic interventions as outlined

Physical Requirements

• Able to exert force up to 100 pounds occasionally
• Sustain physical activity including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and other movements necessary for patient care
• Maintain normal or corrected vision and hearing

Additional Information

• The position is patient-facing, requiring onsite presence
• The candidate must be willing to float to different units as needed
• Timesheet approval will be managed by Kelly Nichols

Pay Package

The pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
