About the role

HCS 247 is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for a 13-week assignment in Mitchell, South Dakota. The position starts on July 30, 2026, and works 8A-5P, 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

  • Provide physical therapy services to patients in a variety of settings.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
  • Assess patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary.
  • Document patient care activities and outcomes accurately.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Requirements

  • Current state license to practice physical therapy.
  • At least 1 year of relevant work experience.
  • No new graduates.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Passing scores on the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE).

Skills

  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of physical therapy techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay

  • Compensation packages include great rates and maximum subsidies for lodging, meals and incidentals, and travel expenses.
  • Pay is based on 9 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation).
  • Tax-free stipend amount to be determined.

Schedule

  • 8A-5P, 40 hours per week.
  • 9 hour shifts.
