About the Role

Fusion Medical Staffing-Therapy is seeking a skilled Physical Therapist for a 12-week travel assignment in Ashland, Oregon. Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patients’ physical conditions using standardized tests, clinical examinations, and patient history to identify functional limitations and treatment needs
  • Develop personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings and patient goals
  • Implement physical therapy treatment plans using various techniques to improve patient mobility and reduce pain
  • Operate specialized physical therapy equipment and modalities safely and effectively
  • Assess patient progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and document evaluations, interventions, and outcomes
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care
  • Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, body mechanics, and injury prevention
  • Maintain a safe treatment environment and adhere to regulatory standards
  • Engage in quality assurance initiatives and professional development activities
  • Participate in discharge planning for smooth patient transitions

Requirements

  • Valid Physical Therapy license in compliance with Oregon state regulations
  • Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)

Qualifications

  • Doctorate degree in physical therapy (preferred)
  • Physical Therapy experience (new graduates welcome)
  • Additional certifications or licenses may be required

Skills

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficiency in PC skills and medical documentation
  • Physical abilities: stationary position, moving equipment (50-100 lbs), pushing, pulling, and bending
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
  • Time management and organizational skills
