Travel Physical Therapist assignment in Salem, Virginia. Start date: 10/05/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Full‑time (40 hours per week) on an 8‑hour shift schedule. Employment type: Travel.

Requirements

• Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy or Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy and successful completion of the NPT exam.
• Graduated from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
• Minimum one year of clinical experience.
• Current state license as a Registered Physical Therapist (or actively pursuing licensure for the assignment state).
• Current CPR certification.
• Additional requirements may be determined by the client facility.

Responsibilities

• Assess referred patients requiring rehabilitation services, evaluating medical condition, functional capabilities, limitations, and rehabilitation potential.
• Establish and administer a treatment program with specific, realistic goals based on patient capacity and tolerance, under physician direction.
• Develop a plan of care for each physical therapy patient.
• Provide skilled physical therapy interventions in accordance with physician orders.
• Document and record patient conditions, progress, and outcomes.
• Educate patients and families on appropriate physical therapy methods.
• Assess patient needs, plan, evaluate, and modify care to meet therapy goals.
• Collaborate with all disciplines to plan and evaluate team goals for each patient.
