Travel Physical Therapist - $1,914 per week

Junxion Med Staffing is seeking a Home Health Physical Therapist for a 13-week travel assignment in Asheville, North Carolina, starting on August 10, 2026.

About the Role

This is a full-time travel position with a duration of 13 weeks. The role involves 40 hours per week on an 8-hour day shift.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on physical therapy in a home health setting
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams through conferences and communication
• Conduct family trainings and make durable medical equipment (DME) recommendations
• Ensure compliance with EMR documentation standards
• Apply safe patient handling techniques and protocols to prevent complications (e.g., autonomic dysreflexia, bowel/bladder programs, skin integrity, wound prevention)
• Assess and train patients on wheelchairs, prosthetics, orthotics, and adaptive equipment
• Manage time effectively and apply critical thinking in patient care

Requirements

• Current licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist in North Carolina (required)
• Experience in an inpatient rehab hospital (preferred)
• Knowledge of relevant medical conditions
• Proficiency in interdisciplinary communication and collaboration
• Strong interpersonal and time management skills

Qualifications

• Minimum degree required for licensure
• Familiarity with occupational therapy skills (preferred)
• Experience with protocols for preventing patient complications
• Training in adaptive equipment, wheelchairs, prosthetics, and orthotics

Pay

Estimated weekly pay includes projected hourly wages and weekly meal and lodging per diems based on nationally published GSA rates. Actual weekly pay may differ and is subject to change during the assignment.
