About the role
The Outpatient Physical Therapist evaluates assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans based on individual needs, goals, and physician direction. This role includes delegating and directing all discipline-specific therapy services for patients, ensuring the design of functional treatment programs that facilitate effective community reintegration. The Physical Therapist also serves as an educator for patients, families, students, and coworkers.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
- Develop appropriate treatment plans and goals that focus on patient progression towards discharge.
- Maintain accurate, clear, and timely medical record documentation in compliance with applicable guidelines.
- Provide care under signed physician orders and within insurance approval when necessary.
- Participate in student programs and offer a positive learning environment.
- Create and pursue an individualized professional development plan.
- Adhere to the discipline-specific State Practice Act and maintain professional licensure.
- Understand and engage in organizational performance improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
- 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience.
- Current CPR certification.
Schedule
This position offers a 5x8.0 schedule.
Pay
Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
