About the role

Travel Home Health Physical Therapist position in Asheville, North Carolina at CarePartners Inpatient Rehab Hospital (68 Sweeten Creek Rd, Asheville, NC 28803). Assignment starts 08/10/2026, lasts 13 weeks, and is 36 hours per week on a 9-hour day shift. This is a dedicated rehab-facility role; no floating required.

Unit & Hospital Details

• 80-bed inpatient rehab unit with patient ratios of 1:6 days and 1:8 nights
• Unit staffing: 1 HUC, 2 Rehab Techs
• Equipment: Sara Steady, Sara Plus, Hoyer lifts, Viking lifts, sliding boards, etc.
• Documentation systems: Meditech and RehabConnect
• Certifications: hospital is YCVA certified; young CVA program certification
• Teaching hospital with active student rotations and specialized therapy equipment

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on occupational and physical therapy for conditions including TBI, stroke, orthopedic, cardiac, SCI, pulmonary, and debility
• Perform procedures: e-stim, ultrasound, splinting, wound care, limb wrapping
• Monitor and manage pressure-ulcer prevention, bowel/bladder programs, skin integrity, and autonomic dysreflexia protocols
• Train patients and families on wheelchairs, prosthetics, orthotics, adaptive equipment, and durable medical equipment (DME)
• Collaborate in interdisciplinary team conferences and family trainings
• Document in Meditech and RehabConnect; adhere to central scheduling

Requirements

• Current North Carolina PT license
• Minimum degree in Physical Therapy
• Experience in an inpatient rehab hospital preferred
• Proficiency in safe patient-handling techniques and complication-prevention protocols
• Strong interpersonal, communication, time-management, and critical-thinking skills
