Travel Physical Therapist - $1,792 per week

About the role

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for a 13‑week assignment in Flanders, New Jersey. The position is full‑time (40 hours per week, 8‑hour day shifts) and requires immediate availability. The therapist will work in an acute care setting, evaluating and creating plans of care for diverse patient populations, overseeing PTAs and support staff, billing according to facility guidelines, complying with state PT board regulations, interfacing with medical center personnel and physicians, understanding adaptive equipment, modifying plans as needed, using medical center computer systems, and providing timely documentation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee supervising PTAs, support staff (therapy technicians)
• Bill within the respective setting, following facility guidelines
• Understand and comply with the respective PT board's rules and regulations
• Interface with Medical Center personnel and physicians to ensure a team‑focused plan of care
• Understand adaptive equipment
• Evaluate and create a plan of care
• Modify plan of care as indicated based on patient's condition
• Use Medical Center computer systems in performance of daily tasks
• Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines

Requirements

• Minimum 6 months of Physical Therapist experience (new graduates encouraged); 1 year preferred, with possible acceptance of 6 months for exceptional candidates
• Current BLS certification
• Valid state‑specific PT license
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, and to bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
• Additional certifications may be required before assignment
