About the role
This is a 13-week contract position for an Outpatient Physical Therapist starting on October 19th. The role consists of working 40 hours per week, with an initial 60-minute evaluation followed by follow-up sessions every 30 minutes. The Physical Therapist will evaluate assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify treatment plans according to patient needs, goals, and physician direction. This position includes delegating and directing therapy services and ensuring the design of functional treatment programs to assist patients in returning to community activities. The therapist will also serve as an educator to patients, families, and colleagues.
Responsibilities
- Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
- Utilize clinical reasoning to develop treatment plans and goals aimed at patient discharge within an established length of stay.
- Document medical records clearly, concisely, and in compliance with state and federal guidelines.
- Provide therapy under valid physician orders and within insurance approvals.
- Participate in student education programs, providing supervision and evaluations.
- Develop an individualized professional growth plan, pursuing continuing education and professional activities.
- Maintain licensure and adhere to regulatory and professional standards.
Requirements
- Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
- 6 months to 1 year of outpatient clinical experience.
- CPR certification.
- Active and applicable state licensure for the area of practice.
Schedule
This position involves a 3x8.0 schedule (36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts).
Pay
Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined. Contract and local rates may vary based on location and applicant residency.
