Travel Physical Therapist - $1,396 per week

About the role

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for a 13‑week assignment in Somerset, New Jersey. The position requires 30 hours per week on 10‑hour day shifts. The ideal candidate should have at least one year of experience; exceptional candidates with appropriate background may be considered with six months of experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee supervising PTAs and support staff (therapy technicians)
• Bill within the respective setting, following facility guidelines
• Understand and comply with the state PT board’s rules and regulations
• Interface with Medical Center personnel and physicians to ensure a team‑focused plan of care
• Understand adaptive equipment
• Evaluate and create a plan of care
• Modify the plan of care as indicated based on the patient’s condition
• Use Medical Center computer systems for daily tasks
• Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines

Requirements

• Minimum of six months of experience (new graduates encouraged to apply); one year preferred
• Current BLS certification
• Valid state‑specific Physical Therapist license
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, and to bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
• Additional certifications may be required before starting the assignment
