Travel Pharmacist - $3,400 per week
About the role
We are looking for a dedicated Pharmacist in Lower Brule, South Dakota with excellent communication skills, critical thinking skills, and a team player attitude. This provider will be responsible for caring for patients, communicating with other medical team members, and maintaining accurate medical records.
Schedule
Day Shift, Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm (40 hours per week, 8‑hour shifts). Assignment duration: 10 weeks, starting ASAP.
Responsibilities
- Read medication orders from prescriptions and process prescription orders in the Electronic Health Record (EHR), checking for completeness, appropriateness, and allergies.
- Check for any drug‑drug and drug‑food interactions.
- Provide instructions to prescribing practitioners regarding medication substitutions as applicable and answer medical questions pertaining to medications and patient care.
Requirements
- Any state pharmacist license accepted.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience.
- BLS certification – American Heart Association.
