Travel Pharmacist - $3,256 per week
About the role
Talent4Health is seeking a travel Pharmacist for a 13-week assignment in Houston, Texas starting August 10, 2026.
Responsibilities
- Ensures the appropriateness of all medication doses in reference to the patient’s diagnosis, weight/body surface area, allergies, and drug interactions as evidenced by lack of medication incidents.
- Accurately enters medication orders in computer as evidenced by lack of medication incidents.
- Safeguards the medications the patient receives by ensuring they are correct as documented by lack of dispensing errors.
- Ensures medication orders are processed and doses are delivered within established guidelines as evidenced by peer review or by the lack of medication incident/customer complaint.
- Fulfills aseptic technique and infection control in the preparation of sterile products.
- Instructs technicians and other pharmacists to practice aseptic technique and infection control.
- Completes annual re-certification and scores at least 90% on the aseptic technique/infection control skills and written exam as documented by a qualified observer.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or Ph.D. in Pharmacy required.
- RPH certification from the state of Texas required.
- 2+ years hospital staff pharmacist experience preferred (specifically medication preparation).
- 20 hours of training in compounding sterile products accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education or the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists preferred.

- Licensed practitioner with a valid, unrestricted license to conduct clinical activities in the state of Texas.
