About the Role
MedPro Healthcare Staffing, a Joint Commission‑certified staffing agency, is seeking a quality Pharmacist for a contract with one of our top healthcare clients. The role involves coordinating comprehensive pharmaceutical care for hospital patients in compliance with federal, state, accreditation, and professional standards.
Requirements
- Pharmacy degree from an accredited College of Pharmacy
- Preferred: 2 years experience in a hospital setting
- Pharmacist licensure in the state of application, or eligibility for licensure via examination or reciprocity
Responsibilities
- Actively coordinate, on a day‑to‑day basis, the provision of high‑quality, comprehensive pharmaceutical care to hospital patients, ensuring compliance with all legal, regulatory, accreditation, and professional standards.
- Perform multiple drug distribution functions, including computerized order entry, prospective review and verification of physicians’ orders, IV admixture preparation, and related activities.
- Execute defined clinical/cognitive activities to optimize therapeutic outcomes under Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee directives, including active communication with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff to clarify or modify orders, with documentation of intervention outcomes.
