Travel Peds RN - $1,476 per week

About the role

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Pediatrics for a 13‑week assignment in San Antonio, Texas. The position requires 36 hours per week on 12‑hour night shifts. Candidates should have 1‑2 years of recent acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide age‑appropriate care to patients.
• Help patients be comfortable with examinations and procedures.
• Perform physical, medical and diagnostic tests.
• Assess for critical signs and symptoms in pediatric and adolescent populations.
• Assist treating physician during examination, treatment and procedures.
• Provide information, education and support to patients’ family members.

Requirements

• Current BLS and PALS certification.
• Minimum 1 year of recent pediatric acute care experience (1‑2 years preferred).
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean and stoop without difficulty.
• Ability to lift 20 pounds routinely; occasional patient lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness to work with potential exposure to chemicals and infectious diseases.
• Additional certifications may be required before assignment.
