The ideal candidate will provide exceptional care to pediatric patients across various specialties, including Hematology/Oncology, Medical-Surgical, and more. Shift Details Nights: 7 PM - 7 AM 36 hours per week Holiday Rotation: Required to work 1-2 of the 3 upcoming Summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day) Weekend Requirement: Every 3rd weekend On Call: Possible during low census from 11 PM - 7 AM Unit Details Patient Types: Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, Medical-Surgical, and all Pediatric specialties Floating: May float to the Pediatric Emergency Department to care for patients awaiting inpatient beds Nurse-to-Patient Ratios: 1:2-4 Bed Size: 14 Qualifications Pediatric experience within the past 18 months (required) Hematology/Oncology experience (required) Experience with EPIC electronic medical records within the past 12 months (required) Ability to float to the Emergency Department (required) Must have completed at least one travel contract within the past 18 months (required) APHON certification (required) Profile Requirements Work history/resume must demonstrate 24 months of Pediatric and/or Oncology experience (required) Skills checklist must be specific to Pediatric/Oncology nursing (required) Active Iowa Nursing License or compact/multistate license (required) Professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, or nursing manager/director within the past 24 months (preferred) Driver’s License (required) AHA BLS certification (required) AHA PALS certification (required) APHON certification documentation (required) If you possess the qualifications and are passionate about providing high-quality pediatric care, we encourage you to apply.
