About the role
Radiology Technologist position available at LCMC Health Children's Hospital in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures using various modalities including X-ray, CT, MRI, and Ultrasound.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during examinations.
- Accurately document patient information and images in the medical record.
- Adhere to radiation safety protocols to minimize patient exposure.
- Communicate effectively with patients and other healthcare team members.
Requirements
- Current state license as a Radiologic Technologist.
- Experience in pediatric radiography preferred.
- Proficiency in operating imaging equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program.
- Pass a background check.
Skills
- Knowledge of radiation protection principles.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail.
