About the role
This opportunity is perfect for experienced pediatric SLPs with a passion for feeding and swallowing. It is a 13-week assignment starting on July 20, 2026, at Phoenix Children's Hospital in Pediatric Acute Care, focusing on neonates through adolescents with a feeding and swallowing focus.
Responsibilities
- Provide therapy services to patients in the pediatric acute care setting.
- Assess and treat patients with feeding and swallowing disorders.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, nurses, and other therapists.
- Document progress notes and treatment plans according to hospital protocols.
Requirements
- 40 hours per week, 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday.
- Two (2) years of acute care hospital experience.
- Pediatric experience preferred.
- Infant feeding and ICU experience preferred.
- American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) Certificate of Clinical Competence - Speech-Language Pathology (CCS-SLP).
- BLS certification.
- AZ license by start date.
Qualifications
- BS degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field.
- Current ASHA CCC-SLP.
- Experience with feeding and swallowing disorders in pediatric populations.
