About the role

This opportunity is perfect for experienced pediatric SLPs with a passion for feeding and swallowing. It is a 13-week assignment starting on July 20, 2026, at Phoenix Children's Hospital in Pediatric Acute Care, focusing on neonates through adolescents with a feeding and swallowing focus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide therapy services to patients in the pediatric acute care setting.
  • Assess and treat patients with feeding and swallowing disorders.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, nurses, and other therapists.
  • Document progress notes and treatment plans according to hospital protocols.

Requirements

  • 40 hours per week, 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday.
  • Two (2) years of acute care hospital experience.
  • Pediatric experience preferred.
  • Infant feeding and ICU experience preferred.
  • American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) Certificate of Clinical Competence - Speech-Language Pathology (CCS-SLP).
  • BLS certification.
  • AZ license by start date.

Qualifications

  • BS degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field.
  • Current ASHA CCC-SLP.
  • Experience with feeding and swallowing disorders in pediatric populations.

Pay
