Travel Pediatric RN - $1,899 per week

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Pediatrics for a travel nursing job in Richmond, Virginia. We're looking for Pediatric RNs for an immediate travel nurse opening in Richmond, VA. The right RN should have 1-2 years' recent acute care experience. As a Pediatric Travel Nurse, you will provide preventative and acute care to children and adolescents in all settings. Pediatric RNs should have experience and skill caring for patients of all ages and providing support to patients' family members.

Responsibilities

• Provide age-appropriate care to patients.
• Help patients to be comfortable with examination and procedures.
• Perform physical, medical and diagnostic tests.
• Assess for critical signs and symptoms in the pediatric and adolescent patient populations.
• Assist treating physician during examination, treatment and procedures.
• Provide information, education and support to patients' family members.
• Stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean and stoop without difficulty.
• Easily lift 20 pounds; moving or lifting patients may require lifting up to 50 pounds at times.
• Face hazards from exposure to chemicals and infectious diseases.

Requirements

• Current BLS and PALS certification.
• At least 1 year of recent acute care experience (preferably 1‑2 years).
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
