Travel Pediatric RN - $1,680 per week

About the role

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Pediatrics for a travel nursing job in Charlestown, Massachusetts. We're looking for Pediatric RNs for an immediate travel nurse opening. The right RN should have 1-2 years' recent acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide age-appropriate care to patients.
• Help patients to be comfortable with examination and procedures.
• Perform physical, medical and diagnostic tests.
• Assess for critical signs and symptoms in the pediatric and adolescent patient populations.
• Assist treating physician during examination, treatment and procedures.
• Provide information, education and support to patients' family members.

Requirements

• BLS certification
• PALS certification
• 2 years of recent acute care experience
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment

Physical demands

• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
• Ability to bend, lean and stoop without difficulty
• Ability to easily lift 20 pounds
• May require lifting of up to 50 pounds at times when moving or lifting patients
• May face hazards from exposure to chemicals and infectious diseases

Schedule

• 32 hours per week
• 8-hour shifts
• Nights
