About the role

We're looking for a Pediatric Registered Respiratory Therapist (Peds‑RRT) for an immediate travel position opening in Hershey, PA. The right Peds‑RRT must have 1 year of recent acute care experience. As a Peds‑RRT, you will provide direct patient care to patients in a variety of clinical areas, including evaluations and treatments according to procedural guidelines.

Responsibilities

Administer to patients a variety of simple and complex respiratory and cardiology modalities
Maintain appropriate patient records/documentation
Clean, disinfect, assemble, calibrate, and maintain respiratory and cardiology equipment and accessories
Evaluate equipment for proper and safe function; report malfunctions to director
Perform arterial puncture and analyze sample according to procedure guidelines
Interact with co‑workers, nurses, physicians, and other hospital personnel to optimize continuum of care
Respond to emergent situations that could require respiratory support

Requirements

1 year of recent acute care experience
NBRC‑RRT certification
BLS certification
ACLS certification
PALS certification (may be required in some areas)
NRP certification (may be required in some areas)
Ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty
Ability to easily lift 20 pounds; moving or lifting patients may require lifting up to 50 pounds
Specific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
