Travel Pediatric Pre/Post Op RN - $1,706 per week

About the role

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN for a PreOp / PACU – Post Anesthesia Care position in Charlottesville, Virginia. The assignment is for 13 weeks, 36 hours per week on 12‑hour night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide observation and care for post‑operative patients recovering from surgical anesthesia.
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions and report changes to the physician.
• Handle a broad range of patients from pediatrics to adults.
• Develop individualized care plans based on each patient’s condition.
• Determine when patients are recovered and ready to move to a room.
• Stand and walk for long periods; bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty.
• Lift up to 20 pounds routinely; patient moving/lifting may require up to 50 pounds.
• Cope with stress in a fast‑paced environment and relate to patients of all ages and backgrounds.

Requirements

• Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications.
• Minimum 1‑2 years of recent acute care experience (2 years preferred).
• Additional certifications may be required before starting the assignment.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
