Travel Pediatric PACU RN - $1,734 per week

About the role

TotalMed is seeking a Post Anesthesia Care Unit RN for an immediate travel nursing opening in Charlottesville, Virginia. This 18-week, night-shift position involves providing observation and care for post-op patients as they recover from surgical anesthesia, monitoring for adverse reactions, and determining when patients are ready to move to a room.

Responsibilities

• Handle a broad range of patients from pediatrics to adults
• Develop individualized care plans based on each patient's condition
• Monitor critical patients for condition changes and report to the physician
• Determine when patients are recovered and ready to move to a room
• Stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean and stoop without difficulty
• Easily lift 20 pounds; moving or lifting patients may require lifting up to 50 pounds at times
• Relate to people of all ages and backgrounds in a fast-paced environment

Requirements

• 1-2 years recent acute care experience
• ACLS, BLS, PALS certifications
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment
